“The Dark Wishes” is the sixth installment of “Haunted Legends” series. Previous installment of this series as follows: The Queen of Spades; The Bronze Horseman; The Undertaker; The Curse of Vox; Stone Guest.

Game Storyline

Summary Excerpt from the game’s store page over at Big Fish Games:

Lucia and Roberto were your favorite students when you taught classes at the Venetian University of Magic, so when they invited you to their wedding, how could you say no? But what happens when a villain tries to unravel the threads of Fate? Now Roberto is missing and Lucia is on the chopping block for his murder! Can you save your students and restore the threads of Fate, before more lives are ruined? Search Roberto’s house and gather the clues. You only have until midnight to prove Lucia’s innocence!

Game Visual/Audio

There isn’t much can be said about the game’s visuals asides from that they’re amazingly well done. Pretty much the same thing can be said about the game’s audio. The visual and audio can be adjusted in the game’s option menu.

Gameplay

There are four different game difficulty modes to choose from: Casual, Advanced, Hard and Custom.

There’s an option to lock the inventory panel in place to keep it stationary.

There are interactive items in the game, they’re marked with a symbol, but sometimes these interactive items do require extra items before they can be interact with.

The interactive map allows the player to fast travel between each location quickly. It also indicates there are tasks that needs to be done at certain locations. But the map isn’t readily available at the start of the game.

Magical Staff is used to remove magical shields from certain items in the game.

Most of the hidden object scenes consists of traditional word list, find pair items, shadow items and find “x” of an item. Some of them do require little or no interaction.

Most of the game’s puzzles are rather easy to solve without much difficulty. For most of the there’s a reset button but for all of them there’s a skip button. These two features are only present in “Casual” game difficulty mode.
